Chas Hahn bought a new Dodge sedan. Several residents including F O Johnson, L G Aldrich, and Glenn Mehuron visited Polk or Lincoln this week. Raymond Tewell plans to enlist in the coast artillery after alumni events in Lincoln. Various visits, market trips, and church and bereavement activities are noted along with a Nebraska day program by the W C C and officer elections for the coming year.

Outline of registration under selective service bill explained

The War Department released an outline detailing how registration will proceed under the selective conscription law. Civil state officials will handle the process to avoid military presence. the federal role is classification through the provost marshal general. Sheriff and county officials will appoint registrars, with one for each 170 eligible men, and voting places prepared for the registration process.

Call for Volunteer Registrars in County

The County Registration Board issues a call for volunteers to act as registrars for military registration across precincts on a day set by the president.
