Japan and China war of words in a Western magazine
A Western magazine essay argues Japan asserts a protector role in Asia and resents white powers, framing Japan as doctor to sick China. It likens Japan to a self appointed guardian while China resists dictatorial treatment and seeks a consultation before any operation. The piece discusses nationalism and a Monroe doctrine of the Pacific. Weekly Globe-Democrat.
