Fire destroys brooder house near Rising City
Mr and Mrs Verne Cook who live near Rising City suffered a blaze early Friday morning that destroyed their brooder house containing 500 three weeks old chickens. Damage is estimated at 500 dollars and the fire origin is under investigation.

Minnie Morrill Dies At Osceola Hospital
Miss Minnie Morrill died at Osceola hospital Wednesday April 25 at 7 20 am after being admitted Tuesday afternoon. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Log Cabin home of Mrs A C Morrill with Rev G A Randall officiating. Interment followed in Stromsburg cemetery.

Charles A. Coon Dead at 80 in American Falls
Charles A. Coon 80 a former Osceola resident died in an American Falls Idaho hospital. A member of the Osceola Masonic Lodge since 1895 he served as justice of the peace in American Falls for four years and ran a variety store there. He is survived by his widow a son and daughter.

Polk County American Legion Auxiliaries will sponsor windows with 7th War Bond posters and souvenirs from boy over there during the drive.
