Swede Home Swedish Lutheran church to rise in 40 by 77 brick building
The Swede Home Swedish Lutheran congregation plans a new 40 by 77 foot pressed brick church with parsonage, costing about 12000 dollars. Contractor Sandene of Stromsburg handles carpentry, Jas Martin does masonry, architect Lofy of Omaha prepared plans, and 50,000 pressed bricks have been ordered from Nebraska Construction Co. Lincoln. Services will be held in Swede Home school house until warm weather when a tent will host summer services.

Funeral for Mrs Frederick Johnson Held at Baptist Church
The funeral of Mrs Fred Johnson was held from the Baptist church yesterday afternoon with Rev. Benjamin officiating. Burial followed in the La Clede cemetery. Mrs Johnson died Friday morning after a weeklong illness from pneumonia. A separate note mentions currency and bank figures, including C. G. Timm Loans and Discounts totaling 186,577, with various bank assets and liabilities listed, sworn by I. A. F. Nuquist as cashier on March 9, 1914.

Sarah Jane Acker born January 10 1841 in Westchester County New York married to William H Miller September 13 1862 at Milan New York. He served in the Union Army until 1865 and she moved from Clarks Neb to Polk County in 1873. She joined the Baptist church over 25 years ago and had three children Mrs XN Johnson Mrs John Howard and Chas W Miller all of whom survive with nine grandchildren. Husband preceded her fourteen years earlier. Funeral service was held at Polk Baptist church conducted by Rev Benjamin and interment at LaClede cemetery.
