Carlson elected alumni secretary of Alpha Gamma Rho
Chris Carlson son of Mr and Mrs Rupert Carlson of Osceola was elected Alumni Secretary of Alpha Gamma Rho at the University of Nebraska. Carlson a junior in the Agricultural Honors Program majors in Animal Science and Agricultural Education and serves as secretary of Agricultural Executive Board treasurer of Black and Bridle and Alpha Tau Alpha and Phi Eta Sigma. The fraternity marked its 50th anniversary with 300 alumni attending. Carlson wrote the Golden History of Alpha Gamma Rho detailing past achievements. Alumni from Polk County include Walter W Berck Dale R Nahrstedt Myron H Carlson Martin M Jones Calvin J Christensen and the late Philip B Campbell.
