Osceola Debaters Win In Friday Night Debate
Osceola team defeated Rising City by a two to one decision at the school auditorium on Friday night. They will meet Geneva next, arguing the negative on the claim that Congress should substantially adopt the secretaries of war and navy departments increased armament recommendations.

Carlson Larson couples wed at Swede Home Luther an church
Carl Edward Carlson and Miss Lydia Larson along with David F Carlson and Miss Hannah Larson were married at Swede Home Church last night in a full house ceremony led by Rev. C A Sward. The couples left for Lincoln on a brief wedding trip and returned to a grand home reception. Both couples will reside on local farms and are highly regarded in the community.

Death of Mrs David Humiston in Shelby
The obituary notes Mrs. David Humiston died at home in Shelby at 8:30 pm after several weeks of illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm tomorrow with interment in Shelby Cemetery. She was born Oct 15, 1893 in Ravenna Nebr and later lived in Osceola before marrying David Humiston. She leaves her husband, parents Mr. and Mrs. BE Lovell, four brothers and four sisters, and a community of friends.

Mrs F C Shumaker returned to St Paul after a ten day visit with her parents Miss Ethel Carson, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs U Career. Ethel Carson married Parrig Delamore of Trumbull Neb at the Christian church Grand Island February 28 1916. The couple will leave soon with a carload of goods for Trumbull to start housekeeping on a farm. E O Hutchison was a Columbus visitor Monday.
