Harold Long died Thursday night June 22 at Osceola Hospital after surgery for ruptured appendix. Born August 24 1913 at Lowry City Missouri he was 19 years nine months and twenty eight days old. Survived by father A Long brothers Lester Brown Mildred Cunningham Vaneta sister Donald all in area. mother had died six years earlier. Funeral at Osceola Methodist Church officiated by Rev W H Wright with interment in Osceola Cemetery.

The Osceola Hospital treated several patients over the weekend and early this week. Raymord Hansen and Louis Willits underwent appendicitis operations, Gust Boden also had such surgery, and a newborn girl Sarah Jane Duncan was born on Tuesday at the hospital. Cloris Pointer sustained back injuries in a four mile north of Surprise crash, received care from Drs. Smith and Eklund, and was later released to go home.

Bernhard Swanson Lewellen Swan, son of Joseph Swanson and Ebra Rosilia Swanson, was born March 3, 1922 on a farm near Swede Home Nebraska.
