Rain Breaks Drought as Loup River Rages Near Columbus

Polk County records a six hour drought ending with heavy rain on Saturday night adding an inch and a half. No damage reported locally. Residents noted Loup River flooding farm lands near Columbus as Hy 81 north of the Platte River washed out and access roads closed.
