4 H Training Day For County 4 H
The annual 4 H Demonstration Training Day for both boys and girls will be held on July 8 in Stromsburg at the REA building. The meeting starts at ten and continues until finished with a noon meal recommended. A State Extension Office critic will assist. Leaders and parents are urged to attend to help youths improve their demonstrations. Afterward, about two and a half weeks remain to finish demonstrations for the contest. 4 H Camp in Seward follows July 18 19 and 20 with a $5 fee due by July 13.

The Garden Club met Wednesday evening June 15 at Lesta Mace's home with the president presiding. Mrs. J. D. Scott led the program reading a paper on hanging baskets and showing illustrations. Stock Car Races Set for Sunday at Osceola Fairgrounds
Albert Ryan announces the Osceola fairgrounds stock car event this Sunday June 26 starting at 2 p m with 14 to possibly 20 cars. The track has been widened graded sprinkled barriers added dust reduce risk and plans include four regular races and a trophy event.
