Prominent Polk County Farmer Dies in Osceola
Herman August Sarow a longtime Polk County resident born July 9 1877 in Lockport New York died at his home northwest of Osceola June 17 1934 at age 55 years 11 months 8 days. He married Martha Mickey in 1908 and Christiana Sarow in 1924. Survived by his widow one daughter Clara Horst three steps Ronald Lawrence and Marjorie Sarow a sister and a brother. Funeral June 20 at Valley Methodist Church Osceola with interment in Osceola Cemetery.

Funeral services were held for J. O. Jacobson in Stromsburg and the Mission Church. Born January 16, 1836 in Sweden, he emigrated to the United States in 1868 and lived in Illinois, Nebraska, and Polk County, where he resided near Osceola before moving to Stromsburg. He died Monday from a stroke. Survived by three sons C D, Joe, and Harry. two daughters Mrs F F Johnson and Hedwig Jacobson.

Mrs. Alvin Dahlin died at her home west of Stromsburg after a week of illness. Aged about 28, she lived all her life in the community. Survived by her husband, two sons Donald and Doyle, a daughter Marjorie Ann and an infant daughter, plus her parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lind, three brothers Clarence of Trumbull, Carl and Lawrence Lind of Stromsburg, and three sisters Mrs. Albert Larson, Mrs. Charles Larson, and Mrs. George Phillips of Stromsburg.

Thieves Break Into Stromsburg Doctor Office
Thieves entered the medical offices of Dr. C. L. Anderson in Stromsburg early Monday and stole morphine. They searched his home and car medicine cases, gaining entry by breaking a window. A man named Wilson was arrested nearby but released after it was found she did not participate.

Osceola dominated Stromsburg on Stromsburg grounds winning 10 to 0 in a shut-out. Taddiken threw superbly allowing four hits and earned a 34 base hit.
