Death of Mrs. Bonner in May 1917
Mrs. Mary Annabelle Bonner aged 58 years 7 months and 2 days died at home May 25 1917 after a long illness. She was born October 26 1858 in Coles County Illinois and moved to Nebraska in 1870. She leaves a husband eleven children eight surviving, a brother and sister and many relatives. Funeral services were held May 27 at the Methodist church conducted by Rev Willmore Kendal and Rev B A Brigham. interment at Myers Cemetery Pleasant Valley.

Miss Birdie Sleuman a former Osceola teacher married Thomas Homer Godding of Fullerton at the bride’s parents home in Lincoln. Rev Brooks officiated with Alberta Grover among out of town guests. Godding, a Wesleyan and UNL alumnus, will teach as principal in Gedden Indiana.

Osceola High School Holds Commencement Exercises
Osceola High School staged its commencement in the auditorium last Thursday evening before a full house. Martha Silverstrand delivered the salutatory and Esther Lees the valedictory. Dean McProud of Wesleyan spoke on culture. Diplomas were presented by J. W. Eiliman, with Lees receiving the class scholarship and Lola Shrader the efficiency medal.
