A southeast Canada and Hackberry precinct delegation asked county commissioners last Friday to place a new steel bridge across the Blue River on a road south of Shelby. They say present structures cannot bear traction outfits, forcing long pulls for threshermen. The board took the proposition under advisement and urged circulating a petition in the locality.
