Ruth Brown daughter of Osceola residents wed Byron Kier of Fort Morgan Colorado in a Denver Denver area ceremony May 26 at 3 pm. The Presbyterian Church rectory officiated by Rev. Fredrick Adlock. The couple plans to reside in Fort Morgan after a brief honeymoon in Denver and Estes Park.

Death of Chas Dickhute at 67 in Columbus hospital
Charles Dickhute 67 died suddenly from a heart attack at St Marys Hospital in Columbus after a weekend visit in Osceola with daughter Mrs John Braithwaite. He had been employed as a carpenter for Union Pacific Railroad in Sidney Nebraska. Survived by son Dwight of Raymond Nebraska and daughters Gertie Braithwaite Osceola Irene Mettlemeyer Omaha Mildred Coffin Shelby plus several grandchildren. Funeral at Osceola Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev W H Wright with Osceola Cemetery interment. Mrs Dickhute had died nearly twenty years ago.

Mrs John Ericson of Engelwood Colorado visited Stromsburg with relatives at the Hed bloom home. Mrs E Lunner returned from Lincoln with Lloyd Corp and daughter. Mrs Ericson underwent an operation in Omaha and is critically ill with Mr and Mrs Wesley Ericson and Arthur at her side. Arthur Anderson and family from Polk spent Decoration Day in Stromsburg. The Lindburgs from Springfield Illinois spent Decoration Day here and returned home. Park Hotel managers Peague spent Decoration Day with relatives in St Paul. Mrs Wesley Colson and son James came to care for her mother Mrs Green after a fall. Mrs Myra Cox of Lincoln spent Decoration Day in Stromsburg. Former Osceola Man George Boss Dies in Colorado
George W. Boss, a former Osceola resident, died May 29 in Milliken Colorado after a stroke. He was 69. He lived in Milliken since 1927 and ran a local business. He leaves his wife Tressa Bowser Boss four children two sisters and several grandchildren. He was born March 7 1867 in Indiana and moved to Nebraska in 1887. He and his family later homesteaded near Julesburg Colorado and joined the Christian Church of Wayland Nebraska.
