14th Annual OHS Alumni Banquet Honors Five Classes
The St Vincents Altar Society hosted 375 at the 14th annual O H S Alumni Banquet Saturday May 28 in the High School Auditorium. 1960 class colors blue and gold were used. Don R Byers welcomed the crowd and John Inness acted as toastmaster. Classes 1960 1950 1940 1930 1920 1910 honored. 1900 absent. Remarks by P W Horst Denver represented 1910. other class representatives gave brief responses. A trumpet solo pantomime and music entertained. Dr C W Jeffrey Rawlins Wyoming delivered greetings. A dance followed.

Sigler Wins Ford Truck Sales Contest Trip
Robert R. Sigler of Sigler Garage Osceola Nebraska won an expense paid two day trip to Kansas City Missouri as top in a Ford Division Omaha sales district contest. He was among 41 winners from 450 dealers and salesmen for highest percentage of objectives in Ford truck sales. The group toured the Kansas City assembly plant and attended a major league game with R W Kruse and J P Lonmann accompanying.

Harold Headlee Dies on His 50th Birthday in York
Harold Headlee 50 longtime Osceola native and York Youth Baseball coach died suddenly of a heart attack on his 50th birthday May 28 while at the York County fairgrounds. He coached youth baseball since its inception in York and was active at the Presbyterian Church. He is survived by widow Lois three sons Greg Bryce and Kevin a brother Floyd a sister in law and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held May 1 at the Presbyterian Church in York with burial in York Cemetery.
