Clarence Elmer Sergent born April 14, 1874 in Ft. Wayne Indiana died July 24, 1934 at age 69. Survived by wife Melba Davis of York and sister Vernie Parkis of Sentinel Oklahoma. Funeral at Methodist church with Rev. G A Randall and Osceola cemetery interment.

Miss Deloras Croisant daughter of Mr and Mrs Ed Croisant and Yeoman Lowell D Hanson son of Mr and Mrs Joel Hanson were married at the bride's parents home southeast of Shelby on Wednesday July 21 Rev G A Randall officiated in the presence of immediate family. Attendants were Mr and Mrs Harold Wurst of Grand Island. The bride is Shelby High School graduate of 1939 and has taught rural schools. The groom a Osceola High School class of 1935 graduate and former Osceola post office employee is stationed at Kodiak Alaska after a Navy enlistment and has been home on leave for ten days.

W. O. Johnson Dies Suddenly in Lincoln
William Otto Johnson 76 died suddenly Saturday evening at his Lincoln home. Born near Cambridge, Illinois, he moved to Nebraska as a child and built a Osceola grocery business before moving to Lincoln about twenty years ago to run a coal company. Survived by wife Edna, son Paul J. of Las Vegas, daughter Mrs. Paul Creedon of Milford, brother Henry in Los Angeles, and four grandchildren. Funeral was held Tuesday at Roberts Chapel in Lincoln.
