Prominent Citizen August Thelan Dies Suddenly
Prominent county farmer August Thelan died of heart failure last Sunday after feeling chest pains while preparing for bed. He lived south of Shelby and was a long time stock raiser and farmer. The funeral in Shelby drew a two mile long procession and Catholics from David City and Shelby attended. The family receives wide sympathy.
