First Nebraska Fends Off in San Francisco Camp, Hometurn Near

The First Nebraska fended at San Francisco last Monday. The health of the Regiment was zemesally good, much better than when it left Manila. The boys have gone into camp and will be mustered out at that place and it will be three or four weeks before they get home.

Death of Stromsburg Clerk Bresegn Under Investigation

The death of J. H. Byenson a Rev. clerk in Stromsburg was reported yesterday morning. A bullet hole in the temple and revolver nearby suggest possible suicide or accidental shooting. Coroner’s jury returned a verdict of suicide. The deceased was about 23, previously a bookkeeper for the Farmers and Merchants Bank before illness.
