County Extension Notes Nebraska details ticket sales and grain hauler law
County Extension notes state advance sale tickets are available at the office with a book of 10 tickets for 3.50 dollars. A new law allows out of state trucks to operate as grain haulers for 30 days after registration and a 1 dollar fee. Farmers using gasoline powered equipment are reminded that delivery tickets dated after July 1 will be registered and refunded in December. Good results are reported from 2.40 spray work on cockle burrs in corn with no adverse effects and cockleburs killed. Farmers urged to save a peck of wheat oats or barley for the County Fair and to enter the December Grain Seed Show and 4-H Livestock exhibits.

The Commodity Credit Corporation unveils a loan program for the 1947 crop of small grains. Wheat loan price set at 1.89 per bushel for No 1 wheat, with service fees of 1 cent per bushel for farm stored grain and 12 cents for warehouse storage. Notes bear 3 percent interest.
