Obituary of J. W. Edgerton Pioneer Lawyer of Nebraska
Joseph W. Edgerton born September 4 1852 near Chesterhill Ohio taught himself law after farming setbacks. First lawyer in Stromsburg Nebraska he practiced in Omaha Grand Island Lincoln and Idaho before settling with his family in Osceola. Survived by three children thirteen grandchildren seven great grandchildren and his wife Sarah Jane he died in Los Angeles on July 12 at about 10 years 10 months and 8 days old. funeral held at Nuquist home Osceola with Rev. W H Wright of First Methodist Church.

Wesley Nelson son of Mr and Mrs Walford Nelson had an appendectomy at Osceola Hospital on Monday performed by Dr Eklund. Myron Jones son of Mr and Mrs Herman Jones west of Osceola also underwent an appendectomy yesterday morning at the Osceola Hospital.

Funeral Rites Held for Gustav E Peterson in Stromsburg
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday for Gustav Edward Peterson aged nearly 78, at the home and Swedish Lutheran Church led by Rev. A F Trued. Survivors include his wife, two sons, and three daughters. The town tale includes visiting relatives and several local notices about travel, crop conditions, and a Kensington picnic at Riverside Park.

Farm House Destroyed by Fire Near Stromsburg
A farm home on the Peter Ro Sere Estate, two and a half miles northeast of Stromsburg, burned Saturday night. Origin unknown, flames destroyed the house and household furniture owned by former tenant Henning Carlson. Loss estimated at 3000 dollars, with partial insurance. The Messrs. Buresh operated the farm last year.
