The Navy Recruiting Station in Council Bluffs Iowa reports two Osceola men led Machinists Mates School classes at the Norfolk Hampton Roads site. Milton C Lindquist ranked first in his class of 21 with 3750 points, and Harry P Fillman led a 25 student second class with 2753 points. Both enlisted in 1932 and trained in San Diego before Hampton Roads.

The Humphrey Democrat reports a new project to connect Highway 81 with Highway 22 south of Platte Center. County Wheat Adjustment Committee Meets Soon
Five men are asked to serve on a county committee to organize the wheat production adjustment plan. County Agent Kelly will act as secretary and help hold meetings. The committee serves until a permanent group forms later this fall and will join seven other counties on July 19 at Osceola for state plan briefing. Community committees will explain the plan locally and wheat growers are urged to learn the facts before deciding on two year contracts. No contracts next year nor wheat premium paid except to contract holders.
