Shelby resident Ronald Agnew owner of Shelby Feed Mills was injured Monday night near St Edwards when his car collided with another coming over a hill on the wrong side. His elbow was broken and flesh bruised. he was taken to Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Passenger Harry Snider was uninjured. Both cars were smashed in front.

Carl August Arenius Swanson died at 4:30 a m Saturday June 27 1936 at his Swede Home Nebraska residence aged 71 years 8 months and 19 days He was born October 8 1864 in Kristdala Parish Smaland Sweden and immigrated to the United States in 1881 He served as a deacon for 33 years and left a large family including wife Minnie and six living children Funeral services were held June 30 1923 at the Swede Home Lutheran Church with Pastor C A Sward officiating Interment followed in Swede Home Cemetery.
