Boy Fractures Leg in Tree Felling Accident
Reynold Peterson son of Mr and Mrs Gunnard Peterson of the town area suffered a broken leg last Wednesday while felling trees at the Walter Jones farm. A limb bounced and struck him above the ankle. He was taken to Stromsburg hospital and placed in a cast before returning home at the start of the week.

Obituary of John A. Rosenberry in Shelby community
John A. Rosenberry born May 23, 1856 near St Thomas Pennsylvania died January 12, 1942 at Columbus hospital aged 85 years 7 months 20 days. He farmed near Shelby Nebraska, married Clara Belle Shelmadine in 1884, had nine children, retired to Shelby in 1920, joined Shelby Methodist church in 1934, funeral held January 15 1942 at Shelby Methodist Church with six grandsons as pallbearers. He is survived by two brothers, one sister, twenty four grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
