A traveler who ate at the De Lancey cafe weeks earlier returned this week to ask if anyone had found his false teeth. He believed they were lost near the entrance as he described. Wayne Stever, a passenger in the Salt Lake City crash, is reported unharmed and had been home for Christmas.

A telegram reported the death of 83 year old Frank Smith in Hillsboro Oregon after a short illness. He had left Shelby December 3 for Cornelius to stay with his daughter Mrs D W McBeth. Edith Amelia Oades born February 25 1866 in New York State died January 6 1950 in El Dorado Springs Missouri. Daughter of Henry and Lydia Snyder she moved to Nebraska at age five near Osceola and married Frederick J. Oades January 5 1887. Survivors include Leslie at home Ervin in Seattle Richard in El Dorado Springs and daughters Jessie Jackson Lexington Nebr Verne Hunt and Mary Bybee both of Seattle Aldine Timm Culver and others. The family lived near Shelby Polk County and belonged to the United Brethren Church.

He founded a hardware business in Osceola after earlier work in Swede Home. He leaves Medy Rodene two daughters Sylvia Evonne and Phyllis Ann, his parents two brothers two sisters and many relatives. Funeral services were held January 15 1959 at Kepner Funeral Home and St Pauls Lutheran Church with music by the American Legion Quartet and the family.
