Death of Josephine Newton
Miss Josephine Newton died Monday after a five month illness in an Omaha hospital. Survived by her parents Dr and Mrs H E Newton and grandmother Mrs Joseph Karrer, all of Omaha. She lived in the city most of her life, graduated Osceola High School in 1923, attended college in Omaha, and for two years was a detective in Omaha department stores. Funeral services Thursday from Gentleman mortuary at 8:30 to Blessed Sacrament church at 9. Burial in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

M L McClure 66 died Friday January 10 at the County Farm after a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday at Kepner Funeral Home with Rev W H Wright officiating. Burial followed in Osceola Cemetery. Survived by his widow and thirteen children. Born September 10 1869 in Altoona Pennsylvania, he moved to Kansas as a child and lived on a York County farm before running a Benedict produce store. He later worked seven years for Gooch Milling Co in Lincoln and originated Gooch Chick Feeds.
