John Walfred Fillman a Polk County official died at Osceola Nebraska from a self inf licted gunshot wound. Born October 15 1871 in Sweden he served 31 years in county offices including clerk district court and treasurer. He married Sylvia Preston August 22 1902 leaving four children and was active in church and fraternal groups. Funeral services were set for Saturday at his home with burial in Osceola Cemetery.

Antonia Skolaut Schall born January 20 1845 in Reschen Austria married to Frank Schaal September 10 1871. She had seven children four daughters and one son survive with four daughters and one grandson. The family moved from Austria to America in 1883 settling northwest of Shelby then Shelby Nebraska where she died January 6 1935 aged 89 years 11 months 5 days. Funeral at Sacred Heart church conducted by Rev O F Schilacher with burial in Shelby Catholic Cemetery.
