Father of Osceola Lady Dies in Stromsburg
Charles C Jenkins of Stromsburg died December 23 1954 after a months long illness. He was born May 11 1889 near St Elmo Illinois and moved to Nebraska in 1913 settling near Bene Straimsburg on the farm where he died. He leaves a widow four sons three daughters including Mrs Zedich er, thirteen grandchildren and four brothers. Funeral services were held December 28 at the Stromsburg funeral home conducted by Rev E C Williams with interment in Stromsburg cemetery.

Hospital Steel To Arrive In Osceola In A Week
The Annie Jeffrey Memorial County Hospital building will receive its first steel in about a week. D L Moffitt, general contractor, said girders for the floor and two rows of supports will arrive in the initial shipment, two carloads in total. Work on the floor will start immediately with crawl space heaters installed under the east part to prevent freezing, enabling outdoor work in most temperatures.

Effie Finecy of Osceola Dies at 74
Effie Finecy born March 23 1880 in Iowa died at her Osceola home December 27 1954. She married George Finecy December 27 1899 who died October 8 1954. Survived by daughters Hazel Lesner and Marian Lostroh their husbands one sister two half sisters a grandson and two great granddaughters. Funeral held December 29 at the funeral home with Rev G A Randall and burial in Osceola cemetery.

Edith Estelle Gray LeMar, born June 23 1890 in Osceola Nebraska, died December 29 1954 at Bryan Memorial Hospital Lincoln. She held deputy county treasurer post, married Dr C L LeMar of Bradshaw, lived in Dow City Iowa before returning to Osceola. She belonged to First Methodist Church Eastern Star Rebekahs Ride-A-Wees Garden Club and served as Worthy Matron. Interment followed service January 3 at Osceola Methodist Church led by Rev G A Randall and Rev H P Bollinger.

Bert Wiman about 60 was found dead at his home south of Silver Creek Tuesday around 11:00 a.m. Authorities say the death stemmed from a personal safety related wound believed to have occurred at least a day earlier. Neighbors last saw him Sunday evening. He lived on property formerly owned by the late Julius Schuster.
