The Nebraska Gas and Electric company plans to extend service to about 3 000 farms in the region and offers a plan starting 1927 where the company will pay 250 toward building the line if the farmer buys 256 worth of equipment. Appliances suggested include refrigerators ranges and pumps, with total current use meeting the 250 threshold. A similar Wisconsin program has operated for a year and this approach is being adopted locally.
