Jonas P Hedman died early Monday at age 79. A Polk County pioneer who came from Illinois forty years ago lived on a farm west of the city before moving to town fifteen years ago. Funeral services will be held Thursday at his home and the Lutheran church with Rev Sward officiating. He was deeply respected and widely known in the community.

Telegram announced the death of Mrs. Mary Hart at Scotts Bluff on Sunday. She came to Osceola with her nieces Mrs. J. H. Roseberry and Mrs. Walter Lamberson, and funeral services were held at the M. Osceola and Polk County friends were shocked by the death of John A Swanson on Monday in Omaha from heart failure. He retired from farming two years ago, lived near Swede Home, and had been in Omaha to visit sisters and his mother Mrs. Olof Swanson. He leaves four sisters and two brothers and his widowed mother. Services were at the Swedish Lutheran Church of Swede Home, conducted by Rev K A Stromberg and Rev C A Sward, with burial in Swaite Home cemetery.
