Commissioners Ordered To Pay Polk County Farm Bureau Budget Dispute
The Polk County Farm Bureau through its president Petrus C. Nel en filed a mandamus suit against the Polk County board to force payment of the 1933 budget. The petition claims the board refused a county agent and other expenses at a regular meeting earlier this month. Attorneys Wirkpatrick Gord Dougherty of York represent the plaintiffs. A writ sought by the district court would compel the county to issue a warrant or show cause by February 6 before the spring term convenes.
