The Polk County corn show scheduled for February 27 at the Osceola Court House offers merchandise prizes for white and yellow corn entries. Entries close at 1 PM Monday with program to follow at 2 PM. A 10 percent discount on cash sales will be given to farmers entering corn on February 25 or 27.

Samuelson Rites Held. York Resident Dies at 74
Funeral services for S B Samuelson were conducted Monday from the home and the First Baptist at York. Born in Sweden, he immigrated with his wife and son, lived in Stromsburg, then Kinus, later York for about twenty years. He died Friday night at 74 after a broken hip from a fall. Survived by wife Sophia, two sons Carl of Osceola and Son of Chicago, and daughter Viola a teacher in Council Bluffs. Interment in Stromsburg Cemetery.
