Osceola Lions club plans to raffle a furnished camper trailer during the June 1 Old Times celebration. The unit, supplied by dealer Orval Eikenhorst, will be raffled with donors able to win. Eighty Legionnaires from four county posts attended the American Legion County Convention on February 1 at Polk. Dinner was served by the Polk Legion Auxiliary with guests including Al Tucek of Columbus and Bob Lowery of Cairo. Retiring Commander Don Miller. 1967 county commander Tony Pokorney of Shelby elected. Several attendees from Midland College and Omaha joined cap ceremonies at Immanuel Hospital where Kay Niemeier earned a student nurse cap amid a nurses’ chorus.
