Clint McBeth Hand Lacerations After Farm Injury
Clint McBeth suffered severe lacerations to the second through fourth fingers of his right hand while shelling corn at the Chas Newcomer place northeast of the city last Friday. A surgeon found no broken bones and all fingers may be saved, but the injury will require a period of layup and recovery.

Bazaar At Swede Home Local Supports Union Treasury
The Farmers Union local at Swede Home hosted a bazaar in the hall last Thursday night for the young settlers. Proceeds benefited the local treasury. Candy and popcorn booths sold pies cakes doughnuts and coffee. The hall was full as the local added new members during a drive and aims to reach 90 members. George B. Miss Hanson Returns from Chicago Trade Convention
Miss Ida M. Hanson returned Friday after a two week stay in Chicago on observing and purchasing errands. She attended the Interstate Merchants Council convention with delegates from 35 states and was hosted by the Chicago Association of Commerce. A noonday luncheon and an evening banquet drew over 1,000 attendees from across the United States. Melba Lott accompanied Miss Hanson and will handle trimming for the spring season. new stock is arriving daily and an early announcement is planned.
