Obituary of John William Christian at Beulah
John William Christian died near Beulah on February 6 following a several day illness. He was born February 19 1847 near Spencer Owen County Indiana and moved to Nebraska in 1872, later buying a Platte Valley farm in Folk County. He married Battie A. Staley in 1888 and leaves wife two daughters Mrs Thomas Meacham and Mrs Arthur Yeaton and three grandsons. He was 76 years old. The funeral will be Friday at Fairview Church conducted by Rev W H Hendrickson. He was a respected neighbor husband father and faithful servant.

Death of Jacob Knerr Passed After Long Illness
Jacob Knerr aged 76 years 5 months 22 days died after years of poor health at his son Elmer Knerr’s home. Funeral was held Saturday at Stromeburg Baptist Church led by Rev. Neal. He was born in Jefferson county Indiana and moved with his family to Polk county Nebraska in 1882 near Durant. His wife died 28 years ago. Survived by son Elmer and daughter Mrs. S J Harless. He left two brothers John and Henry and three sisters Mrs Eliza Williams Lucinda and Ella Knerr, all in Polk County.

Peter Bergman Pioneer Settler Dies After Long Illness
Peter Bergman born February 2, 1847 in Ovanaker Sweden immigrated to America in 1867 settling first in Galva Illinois and Minnesota before moving to Illinois. He married Marie Berg in 1871 at Knoxville Illinois and they had three children who died in infancy. The Bergmans moved to Polk County Nebraska in 1873, later relocating to Polk in 1913 where he lived until his death after a long illness. He was mourned by many friends.

An elderly man aged 76 died early Monday morning February 5 after becoming ill near his home while returning from an evening church service. He was assisted home, a doctor was called but deceased.
