Word was received Sunday of the death of J N Nelson at his Wallam N D home after a three week illness. He was the son in law of E W Heffelbower of this place.
W. J. Deland marks his father Edward Deland's 89th birthday in Osceola. The Y M C A convention brings delegates from across the state. A $25,000 building is planned locally. County delegates Fred Hultquist Chas Stanton Donald Castile and D W Lashley attend. Mrs E R Jarmin visits Omaha aunt Mrs J A Berverly. August Gadeke of Polk County travels to Texas to assess climate. The annual Sons of Veterans Encampment occurs this week.
Public sale at 44 miles north and 4 miles west of Osceola or 44 miles south and 1 mile east of Silver Creek on Feb 18 1907 at 10 am. Nine horses 22 cattle 15 hogs 20 tons hay farming tools and household goods to be sold with terms: cash under 10 and credit on larger sums with 8 percent note.
