Found in Snow Polk Veteran Dies in York Hospital
Willard C. Branting 28 of Polk died in a York hospital from exposure and shock after being found in a snowdrift several miles from York. Sheriff L. M. Brock said Branting was found by the R. O. Thompson family on the way to church services. His father said Branting attended a dance Saturday night and was last seen about midnight after being wounded in service and not feeling well recently.

Obituary of John Buchta Pioneer farmer of Osceola
John Buchta born December 26 1860 near Edwardsville Illinois came to Nebraska at 21. He farmed in Platte valley north of Osceola then on a northwest Osceola farm with Sevilla Heitzman, married 21 March 1893. They retired to Osceola in 1920. Survived by children Jay Verna and Alverta and five grandchildren. Died January 27 1946 aged 85. Funeral held in his home with Rev John M Herrmann officiating. Interment Osceola cemetery by Odd Fellows.

Mrs. A A Young of Orange California died after a year long illness on Thursday January 38th. She was 77, born November 15 1868. Funeral Saturday and burial at Fairhaven Cemetery. Survived by husband John son and two granddaughters Barbara and Brenda. Attendants included former Osceola residents and friends.
