Darlene Brodine, daughter of Mr and Mrs Claus Brodine west of Osceola, had an appendectomy at Osceola Hospital Sunday morning performed by Dr Harley Eklund. Miss Anna Kohl came home Saturday after two weeks in Osceola Hospital for an operation.

Linus Walton Heald former Osceola resident and Lincoln High School alumnus died in Omaha after a gas-related incident. He was 26 and survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. J L Heald of Lincoln and a brother Harvey. Burial and cremation plans followed services in Lincoln.

Farmers Grain Company Holds Annual Meeting
The Farmers Grain Company held its annual meeting at the Legion Hall with many stockholders present. Officers were reelected and E A Hedlund along with F E Merrick were named to the Board. Net profits reached 5751 dollars 25 cents after expenses with a 6 percent dividend declared for stockholders and a one cent per bushel grain dividend for both members and non members. A Methodist Church Ladies Aid dinner served 222 attendees.
