The paper pauses to praise its past year and thanks friends for support. It expresses hope for a better and brighter paper in the coming twelve months and extends best wishes for a happy New Year.
The Sunday service invites all to hear inspiring music and worship together. Christmas Eve offering for Europe’s suffering children raised 72 dollars. Union evening service features a sermon by a visiting brother pastor. Ladies Aid meets Thursday afternoon January 4 at Mrs C H Anderson’s home. Congregation business meeting set for Tuesday January 2 at 2 PM in the church basement.
The Baptist church announces services next Sunday at the usual hour with Sunday school at 10 o clock. Preaching at 11 o clock and 7 30. Ravi C J Pope of Lincoln will be here to preach both morning and evening. Everybody welcome.

The National Farmers Equity-Union met in Omaha with 500 delegates from many states. Nebraska led in new member gains with 1172, and two Nebraskans Edwin L Reed and H.2 Baker were elected to the board of directors. C. O. Drayton was re elected president and A. Hoffman of North Dakota as vice president.
The Nebraska survey shows average feed value per farm of 1555 dollars on 301 farms in the corn belt, surpassing other farm expenses at 1032 dollars. The extension service urges careful study of feed disposal as a high-payoff area, noting 37 of 509 farms had stock that did not justify feed consumption.
