Mrs LeSeur Dies at Covenant Home in Stromsburg

Ida LeSeur, a Covenant Home resident in Stromsburg, died early Monday at Annie Jeffrey Hospital. Services were held Tuesday at Kepner Roberts Funeral Home with burial in Osceola Cemetery.

Julius Hermann bought a coat tree at public auction for the waiting area. Viola Wieseman and Ida Zedicher decorated the one of a kind coat tree with cotton snow and a red skirt plus a fluffy angel. The Kepner family from Concord and Lincoln visitors joined holiday celebrations.

Polk County Heart Fund names campaign chairman

G E Ekstrand of Stromsburg is named Polk County Heart Fund Campaign Chairman for 1970. Mrs. Martin Roberts of Osceola is Polk County Heart Memorial Chair. The state goal is 325000 dollars. February is Heart Month with volunteers distributing heart education and collecting contributions to fund research education and community services.
