In a Nebraska federal court trial Claire Karns 25 Sioux Osceola filed a 25009 personal injury suit against Nelson Brown Enid Okla. Testimony described a June 15 1935 highway 39 collision near Osceola in which Karns brother suffered injuries and a leg shortened. Jury awards Karns 3000 with no appeal expected.

Polk County R E A Districts Approved for Nebraska Funds
Polk County is among twelve rural electrification districts approved for Nebraska funds. The district receives 350 miles of transmission lines serving about 800 potential customers. A county meeting Thursday at the Court House invites prospective customers to hear R E A and state extension engineers explain the plan. Transmission work is underway in Scotts Bluff Cass and Gage counties with Lancaster to start in 30 days.
