Rev L H Lesher officiated. Attendants were Miss Naomi Buetler and Ralph Lionberger. The bride has worked in Lincoln as a beautician and the groom is employed at Western Electric in Lincoln.

Wedding of Phyllis Glatter and Joseph Nicolas at Sacred Heart

Miss Phyllis Glatter wed Joseph P Nicolas at Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday November 26 1946 in a high mass and double ring ceremony. The couple plans to live on a farm northeast of Columbus after the Navy discharge groom served four years. A wedding breakfast brunch reception and parish hall dance followed with about 145 attendees.

Son of Osceola Couple Killed in Wyoming

Hayden G. Welch 45 a Union Pacific machinist helper died when his new Dodge pickup overturned on the Woods Landing highway west of Laramie. Survived by wife Marie Welch of Laramie, his Osceola parents Mr and Mrs Wm Welch and sister Berniece. the family had attended the funeral in Laramie after traveling from Wheatland and Osceola.

Polk youths collide with U P motor

John Holmes a high school student and siblings Catherine and Galen were injured when their car struck the rear of a late train at a Polk crossing. The brakes failed and the vehicle was hurled and demolished, yet the children escaped and crawled from the wreck before the train backed away.
