The USS Missouri, a 45 600 ton battleship, will witness Japan's unconditional surrender in Tokyo Bay marking the end of World War II. Open Season on Pheasants Set From Oct 13 to Dec 31
The 1945 Nebraska pheasant season will run October 13 through December 31 across the state except Federal and State Sanctuaries. Daily hours are one half hour before sunrise to sunset with a bag limit of five cock pheasants. Hen pheasants may not be taken and the possession limit after opening day is ten cocks. Duck season mirrors federal rules from October 13 to December 31. Raccoon and opossum season runs October 15 to February 1. skunks added to protection with open season December 1 to March 1. Beaver trapping opens in certain counties with $5 permits for three beavers. more permits issued as needed to prevent over-trapping.
