Ira Connor Gillmor son of Isaac and Hannah Gillmor born June 12 1876 on a Denison Iowa area farm died aged 77 years 2 months and 7 days. Survived by wife Mabel two children Ira H Gillmor and Mrs. W R Kepner, two sisters, and two grandchildren. Funeral at Kepner Funeral Home August 21 with Osceola cemetery interment.

Outstate Test Plot in Polk County
The wheat testing plot will be located one mile west and a quarter mile north of Sandia's corner on the west side of the road. Established by the outstate testing service it will feature fertilizer tests 15 to 20 variety tests and about 55 farmers samples. A field meeting will be held at the plot next June or July.

Osceola Starts Beginning Instrumental Classes This Fall

At a regular meeting on August 25 Polk County Commissioners approved a resolution for a special election to decide on a Co Hospital proposal. The finance for the hospital was received and the new date set for September 30. Legal notice will be given to voters next week. Details of the proposal by Dr. Jeffrey appear in this issue.
