Polk County and the John B Rogers Producing Co of Fostoria Ohio plan a Pageant and Historical Panorama at the fair on Sept 14 15 16. Five hundred locals will join the cast with costumes and stage equipment supplied by the producers as Polk County showcases its transformation from wild spaces to modern communities.

Mrs Etta Gubser died Wednesday morning at St Elizabeth Hospital Lincoln after an operation. She was 54 years seven months and seven days old. Born January 10 1872 near Lamoni IA she moved to Osceola in 1901 and married Joseph Gubser in 1908. Survived by sisters Rose Huton College View Neb Lillie Deputy Council Bluffs Edna Nichols Omaha Emmaline Beltzer Osceola and brother Wm Powers Osceola Funeral held at Presbyterian Church with Rev Cvilier officiating. John Stobhom was in Osceola Tuesday en route to Polk after visiting his mother in Sweden.

County Treasurer Kenneth Cornish reports a tin plate consignment expected to yield about $38,000 in six months. 1928 plates feature white letters on a brave background, with 67.5 percent of revenue allocated to Polk County roads and state highway upkeep. 4000 pound truck farmer plates cost $8 with affidavit and an F marker on the plate. Doctor Edstrom in Critical Condition After Meridian Highway Crash
Dr. A ig Edstrom, owner of the Home Hospital, is in a very critical state with severe head injuries after his sedan crashed on the Meridian Highway ten miles south of Stroms burg. He lost control after passing another car, hit loose gravel, rolled, and was thrown about thirty feet into a field. He died not, rushed to York Hospital and then to his own hospital. Dr. Keegan from Omaha was summoned.
