Obituary notes two local residents Mrs Allison and J W James
Mrs. Charles Allison died at her home three miles west of town after a six to seven month illness. funeral at home with interment at Stromsburg conducted by Rev Johnson and Rev Johnson. J W James of Benedict died at his home at 10 30 Monday night. James known as Park Banks cashier in Stromsburg during the Haskell era and as a kind, capable man. He moved to Benedict in 1890 to join his brother in the grain business and endured paralysis and nervous prostration before passing away. Funeral by the Masonic lodge at Stromsburg and burial west of Benedict. The Record offers condolences and honors his memory.
