County Republican Convention Names Ticket and Central Committee
The Polk county Republican convention selected nominees for county offices including treasurer C H Anderson and clerk E R Ware. county judge J W Snider led early ballots but Rev Knox Boude won on acclamation. Sheriff W J Rickel won strong informal support. Frank Power named superintendent after debate. Dr L M Shaw renominated for coroner. A new central committee and state delegation were chosen, with party unity praised and confidence high for the fall election.
