Infantile Paralysis Claims First Victim Near Stromsburg
Maurice Knerr eleven son of Mr and Mrs C B Knerr living five miles east of Stromsburg died Sunday night from infantile paralysis after being struck Friday noon. He is a cousin of Anita Hollister who is dying from the disease and is survived by his parents a twin sister Doris and a younger brother Donald. Hope was held for Anita Hollister twenty six who has relied on artificial respiration for twelve days with breathing only about thirty seconds at a time and paralysis below the shoulders physicians said she showed signs of strengthening Monday.
