Wheat producers will vote on August 24 on whether marketing quotas will apply to the 1962 wheat crop. If two thirds vote yes, cooperators get 1962 price support at a later-determined level. if no, no limit on marketings and 50 percent parity price support for those who meet acreage allotments. Man Drowns After Fall From Boat at Columbia River
Word came this week that Jerry Heying drowned Sunday August 6 after falling from a boat at the mouth of the Columbia River in Portland Oregon. His body has not been recovered. He leaves a wife and six children. Heying lived in the Schott home for two years and attended OHS as a freshman in 1948.

Farmer Charles Wiswell Killed in Waco Collision
Charles Wiswell, 70, a Gresham farmer, died Monday after his car collided with a truck driven by Michael Brown, 24, of York, at a county road intersection five miles north of Waco. Brown was treated for minor injuries. Wiswell had recently been named secretary of the University of Nebraska School of Agriculture reunion committee.

Mrs Dwight Dickhute Dies After Cancer Fight
Mrs. Dwight Dickhute aged 60 died from cancer. Funeral services were held Monday in Brainard. She came to Osceola as Violet Kuehl with the Maleks and worked at their cafe. Surviving are her husband five sons two daughters. The couple lived in Shelby before moving to Brainard. Attendants included Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kucera Mrs. Tom Hofbauer Mrs. Jack Johnston and Mrs. Ervin Gross. nicklaus attended the funeral.
