Commissioners approve ambulances for Polk county towns
Polk county commissioners after a July 26 public hearing plan to fund each of four towns Osceola Stromsburg Polk and Shelby with 3000 to buy and equip an ambulance or rescue unit and up to 500 yearly to cover expenses. Two protesters opposed the plan while others support accelerating ambulance services amid private firm exits. Shelby already runs a rescue unit and others will start immediate plans to staff ambulances.

100 Year Old A. T. Wilson Dies At 100
A. T. Wilson, age 100, died Sunday at a North Platte hospital after moving from Osceola with his wife to a Curtis rest home near their son in law and daughter Floyd Hewhts. Services were held at Osceola Methodist Church at 10:30 AM with Rev. Richard Odgers officiating and burial in Osceola Cemetery.
