Burned builder and new elevator milestone in town

W H Kelley suffered a severe hand burn when a soldering tank exploded Tuesday at his south town residence. A roof fire followed but was put out before the fire department arrived. The Farmers' Grain Co Elevator was finished Monday with first gin Tuesday, costing about 12 000 dollars and total enhancements near 15 000 dollars. The piece notes a Nebraska prohibition law and a local incident of liquor theft and a skeptical view of the thief, with a possible amnesty if goods are restored around July 4.
