The Woman's club banquet at Park Hotel on May 8. Forum entertainment and banquet well attended. Masonic lodge attendance by Chas Dunn and others from Valley Osceola. Frank Johnson takes daughter Maud to Omaha for a walking appliance. Rev C L Hamilton and wife to attend General Conference in Cleveland Ohio. Bryant and Dr George debate ends with strong invective and quotations. Foreclosure decree Basil M Wabater vs Signa D Samuelson et al. Sheriff sale N M Moffett vs F F Vogel et al. Sale confirmed. Deficiency judgment against Vogel for 365 dollars. T I Saunders appointed member of the board of insanity.
State Superintendent H R Convert urges county superintendents to publish and circulate notices enforcing compulsory attendance rules for remaining weeks of the year. He warns against drawing county treasury orders for uncollected sums and outlines proper practices for warrants and endorsements to keep district finances accurate.
Notice lists the Polk County Teachers Association meeting at Osceola High School on Saturday April 25 at 1 pm. Program covers Nature Study in country schools with C F Lehr W H Conkling Lenore Cornell and others, recitation periods, primary work, language work for lower grades, library report, and Polk Co Teachers Library Association organization. Music will be provided and all are urged to attend promptly.
Osceola barbers announce Sunday closures for their shops going forward. The notice is signed by local barbers and serves as a customer advisory about weekend hours.

Charles H. Weisel of Sunbury Pa swears on August 10 1894 to using three bottles of Cham berlain's Pain Balm for inflammatory rheumatism with complete cure. He walked to Melick's drug store on crutches and paid 50 cents per bottle sold by E E.
